My approach to writing Lullabies

"Hey, it’s George Papakyriacou. I’ve been working on some lullabies, and they came from a really natural place. I wanted to keep it simple—just a soft guitar, a gentle piano, and a real, up-close voice. This album is all about that raw, honest vibe. Check out Night Night Lullabies and see how these simple melodies can bring peace to your bedtime routine."

Simple, Raw, and Organic: My Approach to writing Lullabies

Hi parents, it's George Papakyriacou here:)) I was working on a project where I wrote a lullaby and It felt very natural. I really enjoyed the process of writing something simple yet so deep. I was instantly hooked. I thought to myself...George, let's write two or three more. So I did. And then three became five. And then I thought, I'm getting an album out. So here it is. Night Night Lullabies. In all its entirety.

When I started recording these songs, I had one goal: to keep things simple. As an experienced musician, I’ve learned that you don't need a wall of sound to make an impact. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can offer a child is a single, gently strummed guitar, a piano played ever so gently and an intimate, soothing voice.

The Beauty of a Catchy Melody

I love the beauty of a simple melody. I like creating melodies that stick in people's heads. I think over the years I've developed the knack of creating catchy choruses. I believe Night Night Lullabies is filled with ten soothing and ever so catchy melodies.

An Intimate Performance

When I record my vocals, I get right up into the mic. I want you to hear the breath and intimacy in my vocals. This raw and organic sound is intentional; it’s meant to feel like I’m right there in the room, playing a private concert for you and your little one.

The Perfect Sleep Routine

Adding this kind of children's music to your nightly sleep routine is a simple but effective parenting tip. You don't need complicated technology or flashy production. You just need something honest, simple, and soothing to help bridge the gap between a busy day and a peaceful night.

Featured Tracks for Your Nursery

To help you get started with our raw and organic sound, here are four tracks I recommend for your nightly routine:

Go To Sleep My Darling: The heart of the album, featuring a steady, rhythmic arpeggio on piano.

I’ll Be There For You: An intimate arrangement that highlights how a parent will always be there no matter what.

Every Day Things Are Getting Better: A reflection of positivity. I love positive mantras. I've used them for years.

This Sweet Lullaby: The final track of the album - i added a bit of extra reverb on this vocal to make it sound epic. Well i think so anyway:)))
